Amanda Solomons
Amanda is Managing Director of NineteenMinutes and spent the majority of her corporate working life in retail banking, cumulating in operational senior management roles.  With this background and more recently as a mother, she has dedicated herself to helping other parents and employees who wish to juggle busy lives with doing the best they possibly can for their children and families and within their business life.  While her children were still young she decided to find out more about being a better parent, and following some extensive research she joined a local not-for-profit positive parenting organisation.

She became a facilitator of workshops for local parents and then took a much more active role leading over 20 facilitators and contributing to the development of programmes.  She is responsible for recruiting, training, managing and evaluating new coaches and workshop facilitators.  She also co-writes the material used in our workshops and coaching and is nationally accredited as a parenting facilitator and to work in major national projects such as strengthening families.

She enjoys helping people and has seen at first hand the difference that certain skills and techniques can make to the upbringing of children and to the quality of the parent/child relationship.

In common with the other Directors, Amanda has a passionate interest in education and is chair of Governors at a local school.

Mark Solomons
Mark’s Board level experience enables him to bring wide ranging skills as Director of NineteenMinutes.  He began his career as a graduate management trainee at Halifax PLC, moving through to Retail Director at Sainsbury’s Bank, where he was accountable for the sales and distribution of financial services through their 800+ stores.  Mark’s high levels of achievement saw him move rapidly within the businesses in which he worked; from leading teams of several hundred people, start up projects and businesses to building from scratch a new sales force of over 300 people and achieving substantial targets.

He completed an MBA at Cranfield business school in 2001 and continues to take responsibility for his own development, undertaking a number of regular interventions to ensure he is able to deliver world class performance in the areas in which he now works.

He also works with Olympian Dr David Hemery CBE and Les Duggan in Developing Potential, a leading provider of individual, team and organisational development.  In 2007 he co-founded a charity with them 21st Century Legacy, which delivers a programme to secondary schools to inspire and empower young people and their teachers to ‘Be the Best they can Be.’
